Comments on the Beck's Diet Solution

I've been making comments on it since I ordered the books but I think other men who have also ordered tham may want to comment on how the program is working for them.  In the same way that we are all on our various WLS journeys, so too we will be at different points along the way with the Beck's Diet Solution.  I welcome all of your comments and present a brief history of my account of it so far.

I read the first 4 chapters the first 3-4 days that I had it and then started doing the days (or steps) on succeeding calendar days for about the first 7 days.  But, then there are much more detailed exercise and I started spending more than one calendar day per step.  I'm currently on Day or step 13 and not in a rush to get through the steps.  I want to get this right.  Already it has had an unbelievable effect on my eating and I'm actually losing weight again while feeling satisfied.  See my Latest Posts for my history.

I just don't think like the author does.  So, I modified a few of the charts this week so they would work for me.  Rather than seeing how I feel every hour, I noted the time when I felt something emotionally or felt hunger (or desire or cravings), or did my perceived hurt feelings.  I did do all of the recommended exercises and repeat them daily.  I think I'll do the exercise about skipping 1 meal on 1 day a wee****il I am sure of distinguishing my feelings of desire, craving, or hunger.
I do look forward to working with the book.  I've already done away with eating my addictive foods so far.  I won't beat myself up if I make a mistake or have a slip.  Bob
