Spirulina Potential

Anyone try spirulina (blue green algae)? I've been downing the powder lately. It's defininitely loaded with protein and even more important it's been making me feel good. There are a couple of theories about why this can happen. One is, that the stuff is loaded with RNA, which one site says is depleted with brain activity. The other is, since the stuff is an algae, the cell walls rupture very easily making the protein, minerals and other nutrients more accessible - something which in theory sounds good for those who've had malabortptive procedure.

I'm not sure what the reason it, but it definitely feels good. Just having the protein more readily absorbable is probably enough to increase energy.

Best Wishes,

Dave

That's the one drawback - the taste/ smell. I've been known to drink flax oil and stuff like that, so I've got a strong stomach, but for others it may be tough to down. The tablets are expensive and may be too compressed for us to digest. I just put a scoop of the powder in a glass, take a drink of sports drink, dump a spoonful of the green powder in my mouth and take another drink.
