IGOffMyB Sunday 2-15
Today, more scapular retraction/ protraction execises, then a chest, shoulder and arm workout.
New rotator cuff info: it's better not to do any rotational shoulder exercises such as those that rotate the ball joint of the upper arm on the same days (or at least prior to) doing chest, shoulder or even back work, where you are rowing, because tired rotator cuffs become inflamed more easily and are likely to start a cycle of problems.

Sundays are always busy with church and family but I picked up a beginner yoga dvd at Target today and popped it in this evening after things had settled down. I only completed the 5 minute warm-up before it was time to feed the kids dinner and get them in bed but the stretching was good. I really need to limber up!
Yoga is great for flexibility, but you can also get your heartrate up when you hold some of the positions, when you balance and when you get into positions that naturally put pressure on the bottom part of the lungs. Flexibility= Range of motion, which is something you can lose both before and after aging and getting arthritis. Better to have more than less after 40.
