Day 1-"Snack" -Free

I have decided that I REALLY need to stop/slow down with the unhealthy snacks.  I have/had gotten to the point where I was almost eating indisciminately again.  My big issue has always been the daily grazing that is an issue with alot of us.  I decided yesterday after sitting up here at work all last night and feeling my pants fit a little tighter than they had that I was putting a stop to this crap once and for all.

Thus far today, I have had ZERO "bad" snacks.  The only thing I had at all between my meals today has been one small cup of sugar free pudding.  I also found ZERO calorie Life Water, oh man..my prayers have  been answered!  I put the Life water down a few weeks back after realizing that I was ingesting about 240 extra calories a day with that stuff (2 bottles), not as bad as Gatorade, but still not good at all.

And, you know, I feel better today than I have in a while.  I had been telling the wife that I feel "groggy" alot and tired.  I think it's all of the sugar spikes/valleys and carb crashes that I have been putting myself through.  I read somewhere that it takes about 3 weeks to "get off of" sugar/carbs so I'm setting that as my goal.  Hopefully, I'll be able to break from them for good after that.

Thanks for listening!

I have an issue with daily grazing too.  I can't eat a lot when I sit down, but daily grazing is as bad as eating huge meals.  Keep up the great work, if you find anymore tips, let me know.  I need to start bringing just a couple snacks with me to work everyday, so I don't have big amounts of anything.  I had a guy tell me that those little snack size zip lock bags work wonders too.

Keep up the great work!!!!!

Here I go again--Get the Beck's Diet Solution.  It comes in hardcover or workbook.  I have both, but most people here are getting the workbook.  you only need one of them.  Since getting the book in early Jan, I have learned a lot about following a diet.  The book will work with any nutritious diet--reducing or maintaining.  I had been an active carb addict and junkfood junkie for about the last 40 years.  I've been in remission since 01-29-09, i.e., I haven't had any of my addictive foods since then.  I've stopped all grazing since. them.  I can't say how much I've lost since I don't get weighed until this afternoon (Thurs).  As of last Thurs,02-19-09, I had lost over 19 lbs but the real joy is from no longer being a slave to my food compulsion.

As I continue to say, look at my Latest Posts for more details and/or Contact me through OH for more info or support.  I'm just a few weeks ahead of you on this program.
