1 Year Anniversary

Wow, I can't believe it's already been a year. So much to be thankful for today. Not only another birthday for me, but to know that just 365 days ago I was just in the hospital having my entire life changed from the inside out, quite literally.

I can remember being wheeled off to my room and thinking, how am I ever going to get through these next few days. Not being able to even suck on ice chips for almost two days and then trying to sip down two bottles of Isopure (which at the time might as well been a challenge to run a marathon or something).

Now being able to run on a treadmill or play with my kids and not get winded after a minute or two. Seeing my labs go from a death sentence to exemplary is amazing to me. Sometimes its easy for me to forget where I came from but on today, I am very grateful for being where I'm at. I thank God for giving me strength, peace and a loving family and I'm thankful for all the guys on here that have helped me along the way.

What a year...

Congratulations ! ! !  You are looking at this exactly as you should.  A second chance at a long life.  Enjoy every day and cherish this time with your kids.
