Not the motorized kind. I wish but the pedal kind.

Buying a bike this month for my birthday! Yippee. I test drive one and it was so easy. I did not have enough room to really take it far but. I just wanted to go and go! That is very weird.

I tried a bike a year and 87 pounds ago and thought I was going to die of no air and scared I was going to fall any second. This time it was awesome. Just rode like a little kid having fun in a parking lot.

I have a guy to try another one this weekend. He is behind on putting together his new bikes. He is local so I will give him a shot. It is a Fugi, the one I actually rode was a 'S' name. Don't laugh it is an old name back when we were kids. I know where to find it and that is all that matters. it fit and felt good.

I have one more shop to check and then pick the one I want. I can not believe a simple bike costs 350$. But I now know I can ride it!! My  kids are excited too.

This exercising is wild. I am amazed at what I can do. My foot is sort of keeping up with me. Sort of.

Sounds fun.  I am looking forward to seeing what it is like to ride a bike once the snow is gone.  I have unpleasant memories and look forward to a positive experience like you have had.  IN preperation,  I ahve been on the stationary bike at work.  I have a decent Giant Comfort bike that I bought about 5 years ago that is nice.  My wife told me that I could rent a nice road bike for the Sprint Triatholon that I am signed up for in June.  I wonder how a nice road bike will feel compared with a more comfortable ride bike.

Anyway, good luck with finding the bike you want.

I am going to walmart to try that beach bike.  Am finished with mountain, hybrids and racers.  Living near Wash DC the leisure biking is great.  Bike paths all over the place.  Now that I am 58lbs lighter am really looking forward to it at 62
Sounds like you're a serious biker

LOL I would not call me a serious biker .............................yet any way!

I am just starting. At a minimum I will be able to keep up with my kids. I hope it is more and I find it a great way to exercise. I am not usually a competitive type person so just now I am not imagining a race like Stephen. You go man! But maybe someday.

I am just in awe that I could feel like I had energy on a bike that moved. I remember as a kid feeling so much power to be able to make my bike go where I wanted when I wanted fast or slow long or short distances. I remember going places and distances from home that no parent would even let a kid these days. But maybe I can be ready now to go with my kids when they are ready.

Grinning ear to ear here, an other big deal for me is that I now officially can fit into size large button down shirts even while sitting. They had looked good standing up but sitting down they puckered at the belly. NO MORE!!! Oh happy day even with this daylight savings misery messing with my body.

i thought about a bike for excercise but I'd die in FL with the heat and the mosquitos.    I still may get one then I can ride in the cooler evenings and in the FL winter... lol
