dont worry about it,  A beautiful nurse gently slides her fingers around you looks down and smiles (think of the possibilities) and its gone.  Remember the line from Bucket List  " dont waste a good hard on"

I didn't have one.  They made me get up and pee right before they wheeled me into the OR.  I lucked out.  I never had to do a bowel prep, have an NG tube, or anything really uncomfortable (other than the incisions themselves).  Actually the incisions weren't bad while I was in the hospital either because I had a PCA pump for a day and a half after the surgery, plus they put in a pain ball that I wore for almost a week after I went home.

My surgeon wants his patients walking very soon after the surgery. He does not like use a catheter he says it gives folks a reason to lay in bed.

I was first told my surgeon didn't do it because only a small percentage really needed one. Then I was told that they had changed their policy and the did it to every one. When I woke up I didn't have one. I was not up set. I think it was because my surgery took less than an hour.
