I only lost 1 lb this week and I know why
I went out to eat 3 times since I last got weighed and that always involves a little eyeballing. I've been a little sloppy with my weighing and measuring--a methold that works for me. And, most notably, I've been having too many protein shakes at 100 cal per shot. Yep, I get 23g protein from them but I don't need to end up with 145g protein in a day for an inactive guy. So, I know what I have to do to improve my weight loss.
I know we all have stalls and I've been enjoying a phenomenal weight loss over the past month. I'm not complaining. I'm just noting it here publicly so I'll remain responsible and reconfirm my committment to weight loss.

Hey Bob,
Stalls certainly suck and I know a scale addict like me freaks out if there is a 1 pound gain on any given day. You know how we stall and then begin to fluctuate up and down a little bit. I'm a basketcase when it does that. When the weight slows down, it does get a bit frustrating, but it is good that you realize what caused the decrease in pounds this week and it's also good that you made it public on here. Not only does it give yourself a little accountability, but it also gives those of us that suffer from these stalls from time to time something to think about so we can step back and look at our week as we wonder why we didn't lose as much as we should have.
I ate out twice this week and haven't lost any in a few days, but then when I look back at the week as a whole, I have lost weight, it was just at the beginning of the week. I like how you weigh once a week and I like how you measure. I never measured, but now that I'm down 167 pounds, I wish I had.
I'm kinda rambling this morning, but I send you some kudos on your post.....

I know what my problem is, I'm grazing on soynuts and sliced almonds. Although it's only about 2 cups for entire day. I need to stop this because I just looked up the calories and 1/4 cup of the sliced almonds is 170 calories and that x 4= 684 calories
And 1/4 cup of the soynuts is 180 calories and that x 4= 720 calories
HOLY CRAP THATS 1404 CALORIES
TIME TO START GRAZING ON WATER!!!!!!
Yet I'm still wearing size medium shirts and just bought a pair of size small gym shorts. Thank the gods I'm working ut daily.
