Failing??
Seriously no offense but you might wanna ask the lapband board. We all mostly have had an actual surgery and can't relate to the banding. I'm sure I'll get flack for this but whatever I just don't want you to take advice that might be inaccurate. i wish you the best though the 1cc fill seems like you're doing well with it. I've heard of some people having to have the band completely filled!
Craig,
I'm in a similar situation. I had my band in November. It was emptied because I couldn't even take fluid. I had no restriction to speak of until January when I got my first fill.
No weight loss for two months! I didn't gain, but old habbits are hard to break.
they call that period before you get restriction bandster hell for a good reason. I've started to lose again by following calorie counting with the Daily Plate very religiously. I also had a consult with the therapist at the bariatric unit.
You'll do fine with some more saline. Don't get as discouraged as I have sometimes felt. I feel better now that I found something that works.

35 lbs. in 7 months is okay. They say the average weight loss is 1-2 lbs. per week and that's what you're doing - 5 lbs. a month. I will tell you that 1cc is not tight enough because mine was 1.5 and I had it filled to 4cc and there's a big difference. Don't feel discouraged. Think of the 35 and plan for a fill. It will definitely help.
I had an RNY, so I really don't know much about the post op period for a Band (so this response may be completely off base). My gut reaction is that there is not much of a difference in your pre surgical restriction and the restriction that 1 cc provides. From this point of view I would think that 35 pounds is pretty impressive. My best advice, is to talk about your concern about not loosing more weight with your surgeon's office and find out if your concern founded or not.
Good luck

Craig,
That seems to be a long time with a very small fill. I waas going every 6 weeks for fills. My Dr. liked to do frequent but small fills so it still took about a year and a half till it was at the maximum fill. At one point I was experiencing bad reflux when I laid down and found out they filled the band too tight, at which point they had to loosen it for a while, let it recover for a couple of months and then do a slight fill. This is were i am now and this should be the optimum fill.
Once you start getting more fills you'll see a big difference in the amount you can eat and with this will come a reduction in the weight you loose.
Unfortunately I have very bad knees and find exerciseing hard. Because of this my loss has come to a halt. The first 100 lbs came off with no exercise but i need to find something I can do (excercise wise) to get the weight comming off again, hopefully you won't have this problem.
Good luck, any firther questions feel free to send me a message.
