when weight comes back
There are several factors involved. First of all, by what standard have you met your goal weight? Is this your goal, your doctor's goal, or the weight you should be according to standardized height and weight charts? I initially lost weight for about 18 months before I started to have what my surgeon considered to be a normal bounce back effect. I think he was wrong because I slowly continued to eat improperly and gain weight.
If you are sure that you are at the weight you want to be at, you can slowly begin adding calories to your post op diet. I'd suggest adding about 3-4 oz of meat, 1-2 more servings of veggies, and perhaps 1 more fruit. Later, if your weight is still stable, you may want to add an acceptable grain.

Goal weights are a big lie just to keep you motivated. My doctor never gave me one. Keep losing until your body is done. I got to my High School weight and realized I felt better 5-10 pounds heavier so I added a half sandwich before bed. That extra meal keeps me there.
The weight I am at is 180#, High School 170#, Pre opp I thought 220# would have been a good weight for me.
230# for goal weight, what are you 6'7"? You need to stop worrying about it and let your body find it's ideal weight. You will know when you feel it. I'm guessing that your friends or family are commenting on how sick you look and are telling you to stop losing??? They are not your Doctor, the pekid look is part of the process, stay with the program and if you are unsure about it, ask your NUT at your next appointment which should be at 9 months.

This is true....My surgeon once told me that once I reached my lowest, he's seen in patients that their bodies will readjust and gain about 10%? I've experienced this and it is sooo freak'n hard to get down to 188lbs.....I've maintained so well at my current weight and really happy at my total weight loss.
I believe in cardio and if you do it often and switch routines, you'll begin to lose the weight.
Good luck!
