Liquid Diet

So i have reached that point.  my mouth is screaming porterhouse but in my future i see a blender and a scoop of some kind of powder stuff...5 x a day.. lol

The NUT gave me some samples of Unjury this stuff is quite expensive. A 17 scoop tub is 18.95 and each one there after is 17.95. Are there any other options for a high protein meal replacement?

How much can u really shed on a liquid diet iin 2 weeks?..  Hell liquid diet for me has been enless pints of Guiness..Gonna miss those days..

Hey Unidos, at GNC they have a terrific meal replacement called Whole Gains and it is made by Biometrics. They have Chocolate, Vanilla, and Mango. The chocolate, I thought was horrible, I haven't tried the vanilla, but the mango is outstanding. It is about $39 and if you get it on the right day, sometimes you can buy one get one half off. I don't know how many scoops there are, but I really like it. 18 months out and I still have it for breakfast most of the time.

Good luck on the liquid diet. I dropped 15 pounds in the 10 days before my surgery. Only the last three were all liquid. The other seven were almost all liquid. It gets easier as the days go by.

After surgery, I had to buy New Direction or Matrix from my surgeon, but they weren't too bad either.

Thanks Trent, I have a family member who works at GNC. 25% off for me she says.  I will look on their site to see the size.

 I found a brand call pure protein they have it in cans at GNC and powder at Publix( at least in SFL) $10.99 for 15 scoops . The cans I think are around $20 for 12. Taste like slim fast which I kind of like.

I went with nutrabio Whey Protein Isolate. 42.00 for 5 lbs. The lable is almost the same as what the doc gave me in a sample.. Slim fast I can only drink it if I'm sitting on the toilet. heh heh

My Doc put me on Medifast shakes for a month prior to surgery.  I remember in the first week, I lost about 16 pounds!  Much of it fluid, although I am sure that going to god knows how many calories a day to 500, did have a big effect on my weight loss.  I had lost a total of 45 pounds in that 4 week period.

I buy body fortress whey protein at walmart about $15.00 for 30 1 scoop servings.

Wow did you work out at all and did you get hungry?  I am getting rid of food in my place so I dont have an issue

I mainly walked, I did not join the gym until after I was cleared after my surgery.

The Medifast was between 400 and 500 calories a day and believe it or not after the first two days, hunger was not really an issue.  My doc's was pretty strict with the die****er, shakes, herbal tea, broth and no sweetner (even splenda, equal).  The carbs and pseudo carbs increased your carb cravings is what they told me.  Did what they told me, closest I cam to cheating, was licking my fingers when making something for the kids.  I was so afraid, I did not want to go through the carb withdrawal again!
