Back in Japan Awaiting the "Type of Dong" Missile

That's Jon Stewart's old joke about North Korean Taipodong Missile. Gotta love it. Hope "the Dong" doesn't fall on our heads. We are in a relatively obscure and insignificant large city in Northern Japan. I hope that doesn't meet our "beloved" Kim's criteria for a first strike target. Some of the other small time commie leaders went out with a noose. I hope he doesn't decide to go out with a big bang. The rest of Asia seems to see Japan as their eternal enemy, mostly because governments needed an enemy to distract their people from the horrid living conditions they created (which was worse, the Japanese invasion or the Cultural Revolution? The former.). So there is an element of risk.

Spent two weeks in Myrtle beach with my father who is 79 and has Pulmonary Fibrosis - a disease which has him on Oxygen 24-7. Even a young person with this disease runs the risk of dying from the common cold. But his spirits are good.

I've heard a few concerns about Kim and his missles.  The first is that, if he sends up a dud or dummy, can the rest of the region be assured that it will fall into an ocean?  Even a dummy landing on almost any land has the possibility of being disatorous.  And, the second problem is that for as bad as he is, there is an even greater fear of what might happen if he were not in power.  That's really scary.  It's like be aware of your hateful enemies but be even more fearful of their even more hateful rivals.  And, the possibility of nuclear arms make it even scarier.  You'd think China would swing it's weight around to keep them in line.

You're right, Bob falling missiles of any kind can't be a good thing. China may have had a hand in assuring the US that the missile actually does contain a communications sattellite, but not sure. The two countries are old friends. A lot of North Koreans were visiting China when I was there in 1986. China still gives lip service to the old brand of communism that the Kim regime still upholds, so they probably don't want to reprimand them publicly, but I do imagine that a lot goes on behind closed doors.

Surely the Japanese people have total faith in the new messiah to talk some sense into Lil' Kim. Tell them folks over there  to relax. All is well. 53% of the American voters can't be wrong about the guy. Can they?
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Probably not, JFish, but when the support drops below 40% you can be sure that Obama or whoever the president is, should probably never have been president in the first place!
