Don't use me as your only source, but I had a big problem with fish (grilled anyway), too. I know most people do fine with it. I bought a package of 2 grilled fillets and in fact, I had eaten one of the fillets before and did fine. BUT!! I had the second fillet in the package a few days later and I don't know what happened, but it got stuck big time. This was the worst experience I have had since my surgery. It wouldn't go down and it wouldn't come up. I threw up about once per hour for about 8 hours before I finally got some relief at 3:30 in the morning. I was about 6 weeks out when this happened. I haven't been able to eat fish again since then although I want it to be a regular part of my diet. I just can't stand the smell of it or the thought of it right now.
I tried shrimp during dinner for my 25th anniversary dinner which was about a month post-op. Didn't throw them up, but I would''ve like to have. Really low fat meats like chicken breast, turkey breast, and shrimp, and tuna were a problem for me for the first 6 months or so. Chicken and turkey breast still are at 1.5 years out. I'd reccomend laying off of it for a couple of months and then I'll be you'll be alright.
And life ain't gonna be a bummer. Yesterday I had a six inch Subway Club on wheat and a handful of Ruffles potato chips for supper. It's almost like old times. Except that I weigh 260 instead of 450.
Congratulations on your progress so far. Now get your ass outside and walk a couple of miles.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
