Hey Guys,

So we finally think we know part of my problem with all the issues I've been having....My primary doc today told me that my iron was already deficient and he thinks its going to anemic levels. So I am in need of some advice.

What do you guys take for the BEST and QUICKEST iron absorbsiton? The PCP said that if we can't get it under control soon he'll just order the shot but he'd prefer not to as it has some risks with it.

So what do you guys think?

There are a couple I will use.  One is Bariatric Advantage Chewable Iron.  The other is Ferro-Sequels.  There are a couple of different irons out there.  Be sure you are not using any calicum when you take your iron (including milk products...they block iron absorption).  If it gets worse you may need an iron transfusion...No fun I hear.  I would post this on the Main Board since women have this issue alittle more than men do.  I have seen a lot of post of women on the Main Board who are iron deficient.  Brian

I was told to use an over the counter iron supplement.  One word of caution, iron supplemnts can cause constipation.  You'll think you are trying to pass concrete.
