 Here we go...

Got clearance from PC.  Everything was great, ready to go.
Well, in the past few weeks I've has pain in my lower left stomach.  First I thought I pulled a muscle in martial arts, then I thought it was from my crappy bed.  Well the pain just won't stop and it looks like lower left abdomen pain can be the sign of Diverticulitis or inflamatory bowel disease or Crohn's disease.  Going to have to make some appointments and get this checked out but in all likelyhood whatever it is won't be resolved by next week.

Oh and I suffer from chronic sinus infections and I feel one coming on.

All well, better safe than sorry when it comes to most things in like but especially major surgery.

I'm sure you realize that it's better to find thhis out now rather than when they would have started your WLS.  Get checked out.  You may have to be on a specialized diet prior to treatment to your current condition.  You may have to procede slowly after that before having WLS.  That is, you may have to regain full strength before going for the WLS.  In turn, your WLS post-op diet may be different from many of us depending on what they find with your current condition.

Still, regardless of the findings, you know that you can always come here for support about life, weight, diet, and exercise.  Once you know what is wrong and post that info, you'll probably get remarks from men who have had the same problem.  I wish you well and an expedient solution to your current problem.

Hey ricco

I had Dierticulitis before my rny.  I talked to my surgen he said it would be no prob. Since then it has not bugged me at all like before. I think the part of my intestine was by-passed so food no longer passes through that part anymore. As far as the sinus thing just get on antibiotics asap.

Thanks guys  got a 10:30 appointment with the PCP and we'll see what happens from there.  Supposed to have final preop testing today with blood work, chest x-ray and EKG, we'l see if the doctor even wants me to bother.

 Quick update:
I saw my PCP, he and he said it looks muscular/nurelogical but sent me for a cat scan to be safe.  Called the hospital and the were able to do the cat scan today along with all the other preop testing.  Now we wait...

Thanks for the support!
