We picked up recreational bikes (Giant).  The only way I can keep my wife involved is if I keep it non-competitive.  I have a real hard time doing that so I have to say no to my buddies when they want to go on a race because once I do, my wife will quit.

When you are so competitive it is hard to keep activities fun for those who aren't compeitive.  I finally convinced her to snow ski with me, she will go the nights I Ski Patrol, but not on racing nights.

Down 400# wow you have to feel like a totally different person.  Keep up the great work, and for those of you not there yet,it is work to keep it off.  A total lifestyle makeover.

Yeah, I'm no into it for the competition - for me it's about seeing what I can accomplish.  I know I'll never be the fastest or anything like that.  But the fact that I've went from barely able to walk to riding a bike 10-12 miles a pop a few times a week .. that's where I get my satisfaction.

Yeah, I'm entered in a bike "race" in October, but for me it's just about finishing the 26 mile course.  WIth my wife, the same day, there's a half marathon at the same function here in Long Beach - she's going to do that.

I love my Giant .. I plan on riding it until it falls apart, and then most likely replacing it with another Giant.  Though Ironhorse (If they're still around then) and Kona look nice, too.

Anyhow - keep it up!!

kewl stuff.
One of my things is paintball... I was out on the field all day just a month post-op (with breaks of course). My nurse chastised me at my 5week check up.

I've played more this year, not just number of times, but as in being on the field longer stretches, than I probably have the last couple years.

It's great, and only looking forward to it all the more.
