Today was to be my last day.
Glad to see you are still with us!
You have made great success and have shown us all how we can succeed as have many others before!
I am still trucking along but I almost never get online anymore. My new work schedule is killing me and it is hard to find time to exercise now. I am now down to 235 and lost 190 lbs since surgery 9.5 months ago.
Good luck to all and may every day be a gift and be treated as such!!!

Congratulations on getting your life back......and this is a great post.
I didn't sit down and put a pencil and calculator to it, but I had some of the same thoughts that you are describing. At the time I was 47 and weighed 455 lbs, stacked on a body that was designed to carry about 225. I knew how much my health had deteriorated since I had gotten into my 40's and figured that if it went down hill at that same rate over the next 7 years that I'd be about done with. I'm about 20 months out right now and am weighing about 265. I did 3 miles in 36 minutes on the elliptical this morning and walked 3 miles in about 50 minutes this evening. There is no freakin' way I could've or would've done that 20 months ago. Or even 9 years ago. Three cheers for WLS.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
