Nice to meet another local. Do you know about our support groups/classes here in the area? Meetings the last Wednesday of the month at Enloe Conference Ctr. Enloe has a great program. Info through Dr. Ludwig's office.

Thanks for the info on Enloe support group, do you know if it is open to anyone, or limited to just Enloe patients?.I'm having my surgery down at Stanford,.........Blue Cross would not let me do it at Enloe...........and being that I've known Stanford for 40 years and did my training there it's really in my "comfort zone"...

I'm glad that you found the Men's Forum so quickly.  I assume that someone must have told you about it because most men are on OH for a few months before they find that we have our own forum.

I wish you success with your WLS.  Please continue posting here along your WLS journey.  the contributions of Men in all phases of their WLS journeys strengthens our Forum.  It's good for newbies or pre-ops to hear from others who have just finished a stage ahead of them or are at the same stage.  There are some post ops who can also help them but their memories start to fade of the early experiences unless they kept a detailed profile.  For those of us who have been here a while, we can still get help from the forum.

When I had my original RNY on 11-14-00, there was not a Men's Forum.  Heck, all of OH "only" numbered about 17000 members.  Now I'v sure there are thousand of Men out there.  But we still make up a tiny portion of OH members and need our own Forum.

So, good luck and enjoy the process and the forum.
