Support groups Metro Airport Area ????

Hey Does anyone know where they offer support groups in the metro detroit area ? I have been having some problems not physical but mental and I think i should go to a support group ? For starters I have been at the same weight for almost 2 weeks. I find myself throwing up a couple of times a day because i cant figure out how much is too much when i eat.

I don't know all of the exact details, but there are some support groups in your area. One meets at the Denny's in Westland near the Westland Mall, but I'm not sure when. There's another that meets in the downriver area. Lizzie B is the contact for that group. Hopefully, someone with more details will reply to you!

My doctor offers a support group open to anyone on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm on Biddle Ave in Wyandotte. Please call 734-285-7420 for details. It is a very informative group, a RN, Dietician, and the rest of the office staff conducts the meeting. Suzanne

Hi Teddy! Tina is right, we have a support group that meets at the Southland Mall every third Thursday of the month, at the Big Boy inside the mall. You are certainly welcome to join us! We have a little bit of everyone...pre-op, very newly post-op, and a few months out post-op...I think I'm the oldest post-op at 14 mos. out! We have had a few people respond who are further out, and a few people from the Chelsea/Ann Arbor group who would like to come and visit us who are further out. It's fun, though, and we'd love to have you come and join us. Our next meeting will be August 17th. Watch for a reminder post that week, okay? Looking forward to meeting you! Lizzie B
