I am constantly hungry! I think I have a bottomless pouch! It doesn't take much to fill 'er up, but I feel it rumbling about every 1 to 1 1/2 hours. I gained 3 lbs. this weekend because I didn't pay attention to everything I ate. It's so scary to think I ate probably 1/2 of what I used to eat in a weekend, but I still gained. So much for surgery being the "easy way out!" I just have to get on track and do exercises at my desk, since I'm chained to it.

I am not quite 2 years out...will be in August and I haven't been hungry since surgery, either. I eat because it's "time to eat"....breakfast before I leave for work, a snack at snacktime (I'm a teacher), lunch at lunch time and dinner when I get home. Occasionally, I have a slight snack before bed...depends on when I eat dinner. It works out to be about every 3 hours or so that I eat. In a way, I don't like not having those hunger pangs. I feel like I'm eating like I did before surgery...ate when I wasn't hungry. Ate cuz food tasted good. Stuff like that. But I control it, so it's certainly NOTHING like before surgery...just difficult to wrap my head around.

I haven't worked a real job in years (disabled) so I have to "remember" to eat. Sometimes my day is filled with Dr's appts. shopping, picking up my p-scrips etc. Today it was baking my chicken breasts for salads (for the week) clean up after myself in kitchen, make bed, fold laundery, feed cats and dog, shower. Then off to the post office, to our local commity center to make some copies, off to the bank (first of the month bills), light company, city hall to get a rebate on my property taxes, stop at store to pick up a few things for the rest of the week, get gas, pick up propane so I can grill some steaks this weekend (it was on sale). Then home...... for a grand total of 92 miles round trip. I don't go to town that often I can't drive like I used to (I drove a truck). It just kills my back. In all of that running I did, I ate the salad before I left and that's all, I did drink some soda (I do the water thing at home). Dinner?? I'll snack on some chicken and hot sauce yum.......But still after all these years I still put the protine in first. My other days are filled with short walks, househole chores, gardning (when the weather is good). There was a time when I would forget to eat then get up to go get something and BAM lost of balance... my sugar was at 66 or less so that dosen't happen too often anymore, then there are the times when NOTHING looks good in the fridge thats when I force something (lunch meat, cheese and crackers are my friends)
