Just wanted to give you some encouragement, that you can lose the extra weight. Go back to basics. You are not in this alone, Many of use struggle on a daily basis, I know I do. I put 15# back on after knee surgery end of April and still have yet to get it all off.
When I follow the basics, eat healthy foods, healthy portions, exercise, move, protein etc... The weight does come off. For me keeping up the "motivation" on a daily basis seems to be my excuse/reason that I need to overcome. to get the rest of the weight off.
There is a great blog "Journey to a Healthier Me" it is FULL of great info. I highly recommend it. And if you can, get to a support group meeting.
Best wishes to you!
Been a while since I Have posted, but I read as much as I can (with what little posts there are to read anymore).
Anyway, I just had to say that I am really really struggling.... A couple of years ago I started smoking after having quit for 9 years. Well, I quit again on February 27th of this year. I had gotten down to my goal weight and even one pound below.... I was 167!!!!! Since quitting I am now back up to 194!!!! I am so disgusted with myself for letting this creep on. I don't really see much change in my eating habits either and keep healthy foods around, like fresh veggies for when I do get those rare occasions of wanting to much.
I just can't let that scale get back up over 200!!!!! Any advise or encouragement. I mean I know it is better for me to have quit the smoking and put on a "little" weight, but I don't want to see that scale keep climbing.....
Well, thanks for listening.....

I know the feeling... I am in Pinckney and have no support either except for here. My surgeon's office has groups but he is over an hour away from me, and with the cost of gas, I just can't do it.... I wish I could hook up with like 5 or 6 people and meet somewhere.
When I first started my journey we had a small group that met in Ann Arbor/Ypsi, but I don't know whatever happened with that. It was a great accountability tool.... Wish I still had that....
At least we have OH!!!!!

once you have surgery with my doctor they don't have much of a follow up.
I am willing to travel. I know the white lake area slightly. Willing to get
together to compare notes in person if any one is interested.

I went to one of their information sessions last year, but am not having my surgery there, so I don't know that much about them.
Did you have your bariatric surgery there as well? Where is the barix clinic that you went to....I would like to give them a call.
Thank you!
i had mine done at barix, dr. dinick. he charged me $800 for the vertical. Not sure what the panny was cuz bcbs state of mi plan covered that completely. i was happy with his work and follow up care. i had my drains in for exactly six wks, which was more than all of my friends. so i had a feeling i was a special case and was pleased he didn't rush my recovery...
