Hi Everyone,
I had gastric bypass over 4 years ago and lost 150 pounds and have keep it off.  I have had some issues, like kidney stones and low iron.  But all and all, I am doing well. 

My current Internat Medicine doctor doesn't seem to want to treat me and I need to find a new one in the Flint area.  Does anyone know of a good doctor that understands the issues of gastric bypass patients?  I would appreciate any suggestions.  I wouldn't mind driving a little ways but not too far.

It's about 140 miles away, Waterford is on the east side of the state NW of Detroit.  Maybe another time would work better.  I have to drive my son to Philadelphia to see his arm specialist  the following Thursday, so I'm going to need to save my money for that, that trip is usually kind of expensive.

how far away is Waterford? Would be great if you could make it...the more the merrier!  It's so nice to sit and chat w/others who completely understand what each other is going through.  The hotel rooms are $99 a night..maybe you could book a room..or get someone on here who would want to split the cost of a room w/2 double beds..just an option!!

Congrats!!! I'm having surgery with Dr. Kemmeter too, I'm doing the DS. Did you already have the surgical consult? I go on Tuesday to see the internist and then I see the behaviorist & Dr Kemmetter on the 25th. I was hoping to have my surgery in August, but I've heard from someone else that just got their date this week (she got Aug 25th) that was his first available. So looks like mine won't be until September. (My date on my profile was a guess, I had to add it to show my surgeon. I'll update that once I get my actual date.)
