Sandi Its funny how we can all relate to your Message. For me it was comming to grips with the fact that now that I am thinner i can really live my life the way it was meant to be. I have had som much fun traveling,Running and doing things I would have never considered as a overweight person. any person who say that they are happy and except themselves being over weight I have a hard time believing that after all the great times I have had as a thin person. Great point Jim! I too thought I was happy, BOY was I deceived! It's amazing how you don't realize until "life" is given to you!! Jim, you are such an inspiration to me! All that you have accomplished, your willingness to help others in the process, how you follow the WLS rules, but most of all for the positiveness you bring to the boards and the motivation! Sandi thanks so much for your kind words. One of these days i have to make it to a get together so I can meet all the new people. I guess its good for my soul and helps motivate me to try and put things in a psitive perspective on here and say. Thanks Jim! The plastics are at an External reviewer and they have 40days.........whatever happens will happen for a reason. I hope it goes in my favor but if not it's not the end of the world just a pain! THanks for your help and advice there....I sooo needed it! Hugs!

What an awesome thing for your mom to say!! I can understand why you'd be thinking about that all day! My mom is really happy for me, but she has never been particularly eloquent about expressing herself. The biggest compliment she gave me was to be so inspired by MY weight loss that she decided SHE needed to lose weight! Keep in mind, she's about 5'2", 82 years old, and really not excessively overweight - just a fairly normal shape for her age. Heck, at 82 I'd be saying "I'm gonna eat whatever I want!" But she joined LA Weightloss back in October, and has lost abotu 35-40 pounds! So every week when she calls after her weigh-in to tell me how she's done, I feel that whole role-reversal thing going on, where she's looking for my approval! So I give her all kinds of crap about having saggy butt syndrome & needing smaller clothes. Heck, now that I'm thinking about it, she mentioned she wants to go to the Alfred Dunner store up in Albertville - maybe I'll just take her there this weekend!
