Fage Yogurt???? What to do with it
Shopping at Super Target on Sunday, and found Fage Yogurt....high protein low carb.......what the heck do you do with it. Tastes kinda gross. I know there are folks on the board that really like it but I can't believe they eat it plain out of the container YUK! I added some fresh fruit but was still not impressed.

Hey, Bonnie!
You can add fruit that you've run through your bullet or blender (I like raspberries, mango and strawberries!), and then also add some Splenda to sweeten it a bit. The thick texture is GREAT!! (imho) When I eat it for breakfast, I add sunflower seeds to add some crunch, and a little salty to the sweet - Give it a try!!!
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Don't listen to Linda!
I use it when I make ricotta fluff (ricotta cheese, Fage yogurt, and a small box of SF cheesecake flavored pudding).
I have sweetened it with SF vanilla coffee syrup and added Simply Fruit or fresh berries.
Mostly, I use it in lieu of sour cream, though. Same texture, similar taste, great protein benefits!

Hey Amy, what kind of ratio do you use for the Ricotta Fluff ...with adding the fage...when I make the Ricotta Fluff I only add the ricotta and pudding mix, I never could work out why Val's recipe called for sour cream.....(That ricotta fluff is heaven in a bowl, yah for the Val and me lurking on the DS board
). although I use SF, FF chocolate fudge flavored pudding mix
, not the cheesecake flavor

Reese ~ at first I only used the ricotta and pudding and it was like heaven for me because I love cheesecake, but only the "insides". LOL
And it was thick.
Then I noticed her recipe called for sour cream and all I had on hand was Fage. I started with a 1/4C. and sometimes will add up to a 1/2C. now to make it even smoother.
One thing I noticed with the cheesecake flavor is that if you let it sit a day mixed up in the fridge, it tastes WAY better the next day!
I tried SF Lemon pudding, too and that was so refreshing!
For me, this is a food that works well in the morning. Even tho I haven't had surgery yet, I never was a breakfast eater, but this is something that I can tolerate.
