Help for my twin
I have had great luck with Solgar's Gentle Iron - it is non-constipating and has great absorption. My ferritin went from 7 to 34 in about 3-4 months using it. You can get it online at various places - here's a link:
http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp? id=SL-2160&st=cs&source=FG&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=SL-2160 I've also used the Tender Iron from Vitalady - that is a carbonyl iron that is easy on the stomach.. http://www.vitalady.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&k ey=1706 Vitron-C is another version of iron and vitamin C that some people use that is less constipating and I've seen it at CVS Pharmacy or online. Stay away from ferrous sulfate - from what I've heard and read it isn't absorbed as well and it causes more constipation.
