I just wanted to take the time and publicly thank Darla for calling me Saturday afternoon to see how I did at the horse show.
It's amazing to have her support with the WLS, but to also have her support and encouragement for my horse shows...I love it and am truly greatful!!!!!!!!!
It really meant alot to get your phone call Saturday Darla, thank you so very much!!!

Hey Kelli,
Thanks for the nice compliment!!
I feel great!!!!!!!!
The horse show wasnt real good, Zoie decided to take advantage of us being judged. She figured she could be naughty because we were being judged I couldnt get after her. So even though it was a fun day, I didnt place because she just wasnt concentrating on what I was asking her to do and instead of going nice and slow, she decided we were off to the races....so we came home without any ribbons!! Oh well, we still had fun, and that's what matters.
How are you doing?
Talk to you soon

Just a FYI - Arab's can be a little hyper, they are one of the prettiest horse, but my experience with Arabs has tought me I will stick to my quiet quarter horses...LOL. I havent had good experience with Appaloosa's either...LOL. Of course they all aren't that way, I am sure there are plenty of good ones out there. I tell alot of my clients that arent experienced that their first horse should be a very quiet, and considered a bomb proof horse, and sometimes Arab's can be a bit of a handful/hyper and app's seem to have great coloring but lack in mindset. I dont know what you or your husband's experience is, but just wanted to let you know of my experience....sorry if I offended you or your hubby because you like arabs or apps. I dont want to be offensive, just wanted to be honest with you about my experience with them. Like I said I am sure there are good ones out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I would be willing to help you find a horse if you would like!!??
Yea Zoie was playing with me Saturday at the show...I just talked to her previous owner and I guess she did it to her a couple of times too, so we will just have to blow the next show if she does it and I will have to correct her while being judged so she realizes she cant get away with being naughty even though we are being judged.
My son took some pictures, hopefully I can get them posted tomorrow :)

Jodi,
OMG no offense taken.....We know nothing.......Hubby has always wanted a horse, but I would be the one doing all the work, plus the expense of taking care & feeding the horse and having to fence the property. I've told hubby in the past, research what it takes to have a horse, then we'll talk about it...........
Great, I'd love to see the pictures........Let me know when the next show is, hubby was too busy this weekend for us to go.

Well, Jodi, I was thinking about you, trying to figure out where ISANTI is (LOL!) It was such a gorgeous morning, I just wondered how it went! And I sincerely DO want to come see you show sometime! Any time I can spend around friends and horsies is time well spent!
I had to laugh at your comment about Appaloosa's - our equine worker at the Public Safety barn has a similar theory about paints. Last summer, Bailey started volunteering in the barn one day a week, and someone donated a paint to the Park District her 2nd week volunteering - she got to go along to pick him up, and got to help name him! She SOOOO loves her paints! But our equine worker feels that paints are bred for their looks, not so much for their brains or temprament... (So far, this one seems to be working out for our herd, tho!)
And thanks for the reminder about Belmont - I had been so busy I figured I had already missed it, but after I talked with you I flipped on 'CCO and heard the whole race from start to finish! Not that I'm at all HAPPY about it... I'm just glad to have read that Big Brown wasn't injured, that his jockey pulled him up because he didn't feel right and didn't want him to BE injured! But DANG.... whoda thunk he could have lost it? Once he swung outside, I thought it was a done deal!
