THANK YOU ALL ( D-day anniversary passed and I survived)

As some of the "older" posters know, I had a bit of complications a year ago following my RNY. Well, the 13th was the one year anniversary of the day I died and had the emergency surgery. I am so thankful to all of you for the support and encouragement the last year. I developed PTSD from the experience, and was very concerned that the anniversary would set off the anxiety all over again. Luckily, the day passed and it was relatively anxiety free. I spent time looking at pics before, talking to friends and family about the experience, and thanking God for all of the prayers and support that got me through. It it hadnt been for all of you here, the journey would have been a lot rockier. I thank each and every one of you, and am so incredibly thankful for this surgery. (I will post the pic of the tattoo when I get my camera back from my friend's house) ((((((HUGS)))))))

Yep, no matter the ups or downs of this board, when push comes to shove you can always count on people to be there either by posting, or sending good vibes your way! I am so glad to be here too, it's amazing the power of the human body and the skills that the surgeons have. We are all so lucky to have found great surgeons and the strength to have gone through this surgery for our familes as well as ourselves.

I'm so glad you made it through and have done so remarkably well!  I guess it wasn't God's time for you to go - He still has other plans for you! (((Hugs)))) and Happy Surgiversary! Michelle

Thanks so much, And, wow have you done an awsome job as well. For the longest time after I got back on the boards after being away I thought you had disappeared because I didn't even recognize you!! You look amazing, what a way to work the tool. As far as God, my motto this weekend was heaven didn't want me yet, and hell couldn't handle me! I look forward to finding out what it is I am supposed to do here, and always remember to live each day to its fullest.

Carol, Right back at you! Yes,you should have a pic of the tat, I would love if you could send it to me! I left my camera at Rachael's house so i haven't been able to send the pics I took. I had so much fun visiting with you and Sam, you are both so great! I agree we need to do another coffee, or some type of event, we always seem to have a blast.  Luv  ya too!!

Nicole....1 year ago already ...wow!! I am so glad you came through the surgeries and  are here healthy and happy today!!! I will be watching for the pic of your tatoo. I plan on getting one to celebrate my weight loss but haven't decided what I want it to be yet. Any suggestions?? Love and hugs.....connie d

WOW -- a year already.  You had just had your surgery when I joined the boards last year.  Glad things are going better for you in 08!!!   Happy surgiversary!!!
