2nd NUT Appt....
The 2nd appt. down one more to go. YIPPPEE!!!! I was also weighed today and I lost another 10 pounds. Today She was really happy that I was continuing to lose, so she just wanted me to continue to work on not drinking with my meals and chewing my food well. I reminded her that I was having the DS but she said that Dr B has the same protocol for RNY and DS. I just agreed and moved on to another topic. I know that I just need to get through these NUT appointments so I can have surgery. ONE STEP CLOSER!

Keep up the good work Jennifer! One more month is nothing. Ya know, *everyone* that I have come in contact with regarding my weight in the past year has advised not drinking liquids with meals. This was before I was even thinking of surgery, before I had decided what type, without concern to type of WLS. I actually think that the concept of not drinking with meals may become a mainstream "health tip" for everyone in the US - unless, of course, Pepsi, Coke, all the beer companies, etc. can effectively lobby against it.
For me, I agree that liquids are a big no-no with meals and as my surgery center recommends I will never again drink any liquid that has more than 15 cal/8oz. including milk and fruit juice. But, that is for me and I can be pretty self-centered and only learn the things that are right for me.
Can't wait until you get your surgery date.
