Thanks, Kelly.  I feel part of my problem is that I don't beat myself up enough :)  If I don't kick myself in the rear, no one else will.  Like Darla said, I need to refocus on my tool.  Not tomorrow...TODAY.

Hi there Lois, so sorry to know you're frustrated, although all the responses are chock full of great helpful suggestions.   Just a little tidbit:  although the honeymoon phase supposedly is one year, the optimum is two years, which I'm exactly one month from and although I've gone off-track and gained up to nine pounds different times, it easily came off with the 5DPT or the seven-day jump start program.  Also, as we get farther out, exercise is so important--finding a workable system which won't wear you out:  Even  just a short walk, for starters is better than nothing.  I've found excellent positive support, healthy ideas, recipes, and various types exercise which are regularly saved to my  WLS folder in Email.  Having been with a licensed psychologist even over a year prior to GP recommending WLS, she specializes in WLS, is in Edina, and has been amazing for me to talk through challenges, gain insight and motivation.  Very important to me with not driving, working other weekend, and missing out on way too many WLS outings and support groups. Pat yourself on the back for what you have accomplished, I pray for you finding your way getting back on track.  You CAN do this, and I'm confident you WILL get things going forward.  I also have become more introverted since not getting to the social gatherings as much as I'd prefer.    Take a deep breath, and just take things one day at a time.  None of us is perfect, and how unfair to expect perfection hon.  Sending positive vibes your way;  take care of you!  Hugs galore, Patti

Thanks, Sandie.  I'll be the first to admit I've made a major accomplishment losing what I have, but I still think I should be harder on myself to whip my butt into gear and FOLLOW THE RULES! :)

I'd have to say my BIGGEST shortcoming is exercise!  I've always hated it.  And now I'm somewhat embarrassed to get out and do anything with anyone else.    I got a bike, but have been made fun of when I ride it.  I am going to go to Curves next week to check it out.  We have a discount through insurance, and hopefully I'll feel more comfortable there.  Thanks for all the positive vibes!
