A Reason to Post and Celebrate

I know what you might be thinking if you know I had a 2nd insurance denial for the DS surgery, but there is no news there for now - other than we are putting together the appeal. But, I am posting because my heart is overflowing today. Please bear with me if you can, it will all come together at the end. My morning started off extremely early due to the littlest one wetting his bed, then I crashed for an hour after starting the laundry and during the time I was getting ready for work, spent some time online catching up on a few things. My morning was having a rough start and once I got to work, I was just having my first cup of java and my sister called. My niece was in labor - 4 weeks early! Now, today is July 8th. For those that didn't know this part of my story, it's my Dad's birthday today and he passed away 11 years ago so today was supposed to be my surgery day and I felt it was really my sign everything would be okay. When I got that second denial last week, I was really wondering what the Plan was and naturally I started second-guessing my decisions on the whole WLS thing. Well, God is great! Today, His Plan became very clear to me. He brought a life into our family today - on my Dad's birthday - and this was much more important than my surgery happening today, that is for certain. So, see, while we don't always know the full story, it is always being worked on. There is always a Plan.

What a wondrous day! Congrats also to Carol N. on her GRAND day as well! I'll share pictures of my new great-niece later or tomorrow. She's absolutely gorgeous of course and weighed a healthy 6 lbs. 3 oz., 19" long. Brooke and her mama (my niece) are doing well this evening and I can't wait to go see them again tomorrow! Babies are precious.

Amy~What a great reminder that we do not know God's plan and that we simply need to trust that He does what He does for a reason that we may not understand at the time, but may become clear later on.  Congrats on your new grand-niece I am sure she is absolutely precious!

Amy, I know how much this date meant to you, and HOW MUCH God bringing little Brooke into the world on it has made your heart sing!  She truly is a lucky little girl, to have you for a GREAT AUNTIE!!!   And a couple of handsome cousins (would that be "grand cousins"?) she'll have to show her a thing or two about life!!!   I'm so happy for you, sweetheart - and your WHOLE FAMILY!!!  What a special day for a special blessing       You know your dad is smiling down on you all...

What a positive way to look at things Amy - and so true that He did and DOES have a plan.  Congrats on your new baby neice! I think you are a good example to those who get so impatient during the approval process that when it's time, it will just be time at THE perfect time.  God's time! (((Hugs))) Michelle
