The scope is scheduled for next thursday

Just thought I would update you all.... My scope is scheduled for next thursday afternoon.... and they don't want me driving for 24 hours afterwards... So... I called my good friend Kelly, (thank you so much Kelly) and she is driving me... Plus my Doctor has given me an excuse for the following day off.... which is cool... I have sick days to cover... so I will be okay.....

The good news in all of this is.... My Doctor has perscribed me Chantix, for my smoking... AND I am one of the lucky ones.....my insurance covered it... so will be starting on that tomorrow.. My smoking the last three months may have contributed to my ulcer... so here's hoping it is as good as everyone has told me....

Other then that, same stuff different day.

Diane~I hope the Chantix works well for you I have known many people who have had great success with it and woohoo for insurance covering it!  I will pray that all goes well for you next Thursday and youtake that extra day to relax and enjoy a little time off!

Well... I will relax for part of it.... My brothers are coming in from 3 different states, and we are getting together next weekend... They have not seen me in over 2 years!!!! Just before I made the decision to start this journey....I was 280 the last time they seen me... as of this AM.. I am now 151.3... I so hope I make it to 150 by then!!! Lets hope....

Ya, I have heard a lot of good about chantix... here's hoping it works for me......I know I would feel so much better.

I am hoping..... should of never started back up 3 months ago.... but hind sight is 20/20.

Diane, Yep, I'm the chauffer. (sp?)  I'll make sure Marek is taken care of and I'll bring something for you to eat. So when I leave I know you'll have something for the tummy...... My friend Karen used Chantix, she was a 30 year smoker, and she has been smoke free for 6 months now.....It worked great for her.....The one side effect she had was being nauseous. Good luck. I have heard nauseous... also... if taken to close to bedtime... could cause some nasty nightmares....Pharmacist told me about this one.. but it's the chance I will take...
