10-day Liquid diet!!!

Hi everyone! I am having the RNY on July 18th.  I started my pre-op liquid diet yesterday on July 8th.  I feel like I am dying!!!!!  I have a constant heache, I am dizzy and I have been having a hard time taking care of my small children ( 4 yr. old and Twins that are 2). Because I don't have any energy.  I take that back..I do have energy for maybe 5 freakin' minutes after I drink a slim fast shake then I am back to feeling lifeless again. I am misreable.  Yesterday I felt so light headed and sick I even ate a few chips...now I am so nervous that I messed up my diet..my liver won't be small enough and they will cancel my surgery!! Does anyone think they will cancel my surgery??? I have been really good today.

Who's your doctor? Which program are you with? PNC? Add another protein drink, you can have between 3-5 a day.

I would definately call the doc and see if you can add more protein shakes. The first 3 days are the hardest, I know it is hard but when you are tempted to eat keep your eye on the prize. Hang in there!

I have no advice for you! other than perhaps talk with your clinic. I really wanted to stop by and say hi  I sure hope the next few days get easier for you as you manage through the LD.  Wishing you all the best.

Stick it out, it is so worth it!! I just finished mine and after 5 days felt better than EVER!! Try and avoid food and TV (all those commercials). I know with 3 little ones it is VERY difficult but it WILL get better!

It will be over before you know it. Try to hang in there and call you clinic. Best of luck.

Thank you everyone. You were all right by day 3 it defenitley became easier! Now I have to try to get in enough of my shakes LOL! Less than a week left before my life changes. My surgery is on Friday! I am nervous excited scared and happy all at the same time.
