Accountability - It Works
I posted a couple weeks ago about my lack of using my tool wisely and PUNKYNPY generously offered to be my accountability partner. We've been tracking our food intake and emailing each other. It has really helped me out! I kepty re-thinking my food choices because I didn't want my food log to look so bad :) I didn't do fantastic, but I definitely did better than I had been. I have managed to lose 7 pounds in the last month. Not super great, but after stagnating (and making excuses for no weight loss), I am pretty happy. I also have my suspicions that my scale at home is off by 8 or 9 pounds (higher), so will be anxious to see what the doctor's office scale says this week. So once again, the MN board rocks!
On a separate note, after reading the posts regarding dating and men, I find myself in the opposite direction. Men pay less attention to me now. Shortly after surgery last year, my boyfriend dumped me and I've only dated one guy since then. I've never had a problem finding a man before and was always picky about who I dated, because they had to be good enough for me lol. What's changed? Could I be a less confident person now? It just really makes me wonder.
Lois,
Thank you for this post. I just got approved for surgery and am changing my eating habits radically to prepare for surgery. Accountability has always been my downfall. I totally understand about not wanting the food log to look bad! I am forcing myself to be honest with what I am putting down and being accountable. This is going to be so important going forward. Hope you have a great day!
Lois...I am finally catching up on all the post I have missed in the last few days. Sorry I am so late in reponding.
