I always have to plan out my exercise for the week, otherwise it does not happen!   Let's hear what your plans are.  If you don't have any exercise plans, take a few minutes to decide what and when and make your committment here on the boards!

Good idea LisaJoy!!  I kinda fell off the wagon this past week-cramps/heat/headache conspired against me.  My usual plan is too walk the mile from the parking into work, and again back at the end of the day.  I skipped that this morning as my back has been hurting.  time for some pain meds....grrr.  I need to build in some stretching time.  Anyone have some good suggestions for some stretches that will help my abs/lower back?
I plan to walk over lunch-even if it rains, I can cruise around the hospital indoors and climb stairs-that is a workout!

I love these types of posts!

This week I will be walking
- I'll park further from the door no matter where I have to go
- I will walk on my breaks at work
- I will walk at least a mile each day on the road

And I too need to work in some stretches... I also want to get back to lifting weights.  My arms are working too well as fans lately...  need to get some toning going!!

Walking for me too!  I won't walk outside in this heat, but my parents gave me an old treadmill pre-surgery.  It's kind of scary but I'm going to give it a try.  If it turns out to be not right for me then I will have my parents return and help DH and me take it to the dump.

I am hoping to start biking this week, (need to buy a bike first) otherwise it will be, mucking stalls, training and riding horses.   I do have to purchase some hay this week so I guess unloading 50 bales of hay could be considered my weight lifting/toning excersise. lol

I wish I had more time to actually exercise...with horses and kids schedule during the summer doesnt leave much time for me... I know poor excuse!!  But I will say, I am not being a couch potato either.  I am on the go, and it always is physical activity...some days even find myself playing softball or kickball with my kids...never was able to do that before..YEA!!!

Walking, walking and more walking!!

I will be biking with my grandson Nic and my granddaughter Amanda
while I am in Iowa this weekend. Amanda is going with me to visit Nic, Grace, my daughter Jamie and SIL Travis. We are leaving on Thursday. I use my daughters bike and Grace rides in her little seat in the back.
That will be great fun!!

I've been shamefully, horrible about exercising since surgery 2-months ago. But I am finally psyched about starting something that will help speed up weight loss and tone flabby skin.

Before surgery I tried to start the Couch Potatoe to 5k run program http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml and about died trying to run for 1-min. in the beginning.  So let's see what I can do 43 pounds less.

Hey Lisa, great post!!!  This is my plan for the week:

Monday- Run in PM after work
Tue- do upper body and abs
Wed- Run before work Bike after
Thurs- upper body shoulders and abs
Friday- Rest day
Sat - Rest day
Sunday - Run and bike.

It seems the more consistant i am the more control over weight I have.

Here's my plan.....
Monday     35 minutes eliptial machine - 20 minutes lower body weights
Tuesday    45 minutes spinning class - 20  minutes upper body weights
Wednesday 45 minutes aerobic class
Thursday 45 minutes spinning class - 20 minutes upper body weights
Friday  45 minutes aerobics class
Saturday  45 minutes walking outside approx. 3 miles
Sunday  30 minutes walking outaside approximately 2 miles

First part of my plan involved DH lugging up the recumbant bike from the basement yesterday . I'm determined to get on that thing for at least 10 minutes Tuesday morning.  That's start I guess.
