scared questions
Hi Lorie, breathe, breathe, breathe! Can't relate to your fear, as I'd researched and had ultimate confidence and reassurance with my surgeon. Never once in the four months from info session to surgery did I ever not want to go forward--however, the night before, I did have an anxiety surge of 'what ifs', though prayed about it and was fine. Remember, having this surgery is less threatening to your health than not having it. Focus on the big picture, the positives--suggestion: write a list of pros and cons. This should help put things into perspective for you to feel more relaxed about this. I had thin hair even prior to WLS two years ago, and around four months out, noticed it in the shower drain, and take 1000 mcg Biotin daily, one Flaxseed oil, and one Fish oil, so do have healthy hair. Also with the wonderful hair products available today, even though it's thinner (no scalp shows) I use mousse and gels and it actually looks thicker than pre-surgery! Regarding B12 injections, I haven't had to, though take daily dose of liquid sublingual, which is not nasty, take Walgreens chewable vitamins (not nasty--afterall, remember how much sugary carbs we used to eat) and my labs have been great all along, except for one case of HIGH hemoblobin due to the high protein intake with my WLS program. Thoughts and prayers for you at this time--sending oceans of love and hugs galore, Patti
Never let your memories be greater than your dreams.
