COME ONE, COME ALL!!!
I am going to do my bestestestest to get Aug 15th off.... it's a big challenge, but perhaps it could happen. I REALLY want to go.... I don't know if I'll be able to spend the whole day.... I usually get so exhausted (God, I'm out of shape)....but I will do all I can.
Sweet thang, you are 50# lighter. You might just surprise yourself!
And if'n you get tuckered out, you will be with some of the MOST understanding characters on earth! Me? My knee still craps out on me after a spell, but I got the go-ahead to pop an Advil Liqui-gel when Tylenol won't touch it.
I SO HOPE YOU CAN COME!!!

I'm so there...(of course, who could resist)...
If it interests you, we could pack a cooler and do a picnic lunch...this saves on money. Also to save, your employer may have discount tickets, if not, Cub Foods sells discounted tickets. Another way to save is to team up for meals. For those of us who can't eat large meals, there are a ton of ways to share. One turkey leg would feed two. One meal from Panda Express will feed three.
There are a number of restaurants by Purgatory Creek Park....whilst I am setting up the movie, you can go to Culvers, Noodle Company, Chipolte, Ruby Tuesday, plus a huge number of just about everything.
Brunswick Zone is almost walking distance from the park, so it will be a perfect way to end a perfect day.
In the event that the movie gets rained out, just head straight to Brunswick.
It's not wrong to take a day off of work for yourself, and for each other. It's a day that you will NOT forget and should be considered part of your personal well-being. You will get a TON of exercise walking around valley fair.
If you are wondering if you can really fit on rides, you may read my POST from last year.
If you have kids, you can certainly bring them, or just forget to tell them where you spent the day. As far as your employer is concerned, this is a personal well being day.
I don't do Karaoke, but I will watch and listen to any of ya'll.
For those who are unfamiliar with the area...PM me with your email and I will send you a map with what you need. All you have to do is get to the SW station...start your day with some coffee.
Let me know if you have ANY questions....and then tomorrow (Friday) or Monday, ask for the 15th off. Your life may depend on it.
Anyone want to ride the steel with the caveman?

If you DON'T ride Steel Venom with me, Paul, I may just PLUCK you - one gnarly hair at a time!!!
(Venom, and the Extreme Swings, and Renegade, and - oh hell! It's gonna be F. U. N. !!! And for anyone doubting if they'll fit? Paul's post from last year was DA BOMB when I was worried!!)
And I'm NOT telling my kids I'm going there. I know, I'm evil. I just can't face the whining. Sue wore me out already with HER incessant snivelling...
BTW, I have LOTS of discount coupons for VF - I used to be in charge of our Employee Club, I get a pad of 'em every year! I'll post tomorrow how much it is.
YAY!!!!!!!!
