What an AMAZING Day!
I have to say that I have not had as much fun as I had today in a very long time, if ever, in my life! I went to ValleyFair with Lori, Roger and Brei today and it was such a blast! I went on almost all of the rides save water rides (it was cloudy and not very warm all day) and the Extreme Swing because with just a lap bar and that swing going more than 90 degrees up I didn't feel safe. I did however do something I have always looked at and thought would be fun, but never had the guts to do before....the Rip Cord! It was AMAZING! It literally felt like I was flying through the air and talk about getting the endorphins going! Lori got some good pics, which she will send me and I will post and most likely make my fun Tuesday avatar! It was a long day I must say as we got there at noon and left when the park closed, but I was full steam ahead the whole time and that was amazing to me. I am so excited, I am hoping to get back there again before the season closes with one of my sisters as I would love to make them go on some of the rides with me! Well, I had best get my butt in bed so I can get up for work in the morning! Thank you again Lori for a wonderful day! Love & Hugs! Nicole
Hi Nicole!
It's SO neat to know what a fabulous
day
you had! I truly hope you will get to go again
this season
. I'm so proud of you going
on the Rip Cord!!!.
Haven't been there nine years so all the rides will seem 'new' to this bod--so glad, glad, glad
you were able to make a full day of the screamin'
hilarity! Hope you're able to wind down and get a good night's sleep sweetie! Have a great day and week! Oceans of love and hugs galore, Patti (Now I'm so excited for Aug. 15th!

)

Never let your memories be greater than your dreams.

Connie~As of right now I am still unsure about the 15th as I have to wait and see how things go with my Dad's surgery and if he can get into a rehab center or if I will need to help my mom take care of him on the weekends. I would like to be able to go to at least the stuff in the evening since I am holding on to my time off in case of any family emergencies in the next 3-4 months. I hope you are able to go it is so much more enjoyable when you aren't so big and always afraid the retraints or buckles won't fit or being squished into the seats.
Thank you Kelly! It looked really fun as we were watching it eating lunch and so I figured if I was okay with the drop on Steel Venom I would be okay with the Ripcord, and I LOVED Steel Venom even in the very front seat! So, decided to go for it and loved it! I would really like to get one of my sisters up there with me, but I think they are both to afraid to try it!
Morning! ok it's *MY* morning.
Thank you again for saying YES! to going with us :) Even for following Roger's preplanned way of things. He is such a ride-monger :)
I was just thrilled watching you up on that Rip Cord thingy! I've thought about going but never really had the gall to do it. But you did :) What an inspiration you are!!
For me though I guess the topper was not having to turn at any of the turnstyles!! I walked right through them! I was also small enough to climb onto Steel Venom twice! I'll admit though my feet HURT today... lol that was a ton of walking!
The saga continued right after we left you off... was the low pressure light on in the van after Perkins? It came on at some point so we stopped and put air in the driver's tire... and then stopped and put stop leak in the tire... and then got to Rock Creek and called emergency service. The stupid spare wouldn't decend so Rog could fix the flat. We eneded up getting towed to Hinckley and Scot (Brie's boyfriend) came and got Brie and I while ROger waited for the shop to open to get the van fixed. She and I finally got home from our wonderful day at about 830 this morning... Roger finally followed at about 11am. so it was indeed a LONGGGGG 20+ hours with a great big bunch of it fun! lol
Thanks again girlfriend!! I sure would love to do it again!!!
