Thank you Connie!  I am just so worried that if I do not get myself back on the path now that I will continue to fall down the hill and end up trapped by my weight again and miss my window of good weight loss.  I think a part of me might have believed my little sister when she said she was afraid I would gain back all of the weight I had lost, who knows.  There must be something about Iowa cause I always struggle when I am down there too!  It was wonderful to see you on Saturday as well....you my dear look spectacular!  Hopefully we will see each other again soon.  Love & Hugs!  Nicole

Nicole......you're human.  We all stumble now and then.  Sounds like you are getting back on track and, knowing the progress you have made on your journey so far, I'm not worried.
Love & Hugs to you too!!

Thank you Sandy!  I am just hoping I can get the weightloss kicked back into gear by cleaning out the carb monster and all of his little friends!

So many of us know all to well what your going through............The Carb Monster is a killer........And your right this isn't easy, we don't go from fat to skinny overnight, it takes alot of work and dedication......

I'm proud of you for posting this.......It's important for all to see that we all have slip up's and that we just need to brush ourselves off and get back on track.....

You have my total support........If you need anything please don't hesitate to PM me or call me, I think I gave you my cell #.

Another idea is to call or talk to your nurse....I know when I was having issues with the carb monster she suggested more protein, 80+ grams a day........It's helped alot.....I still have my days here & there, but on the whole it helped.......

Good luck........You look great.......

Thank you Kelly!  I am learning just how much I have to undo after 17 years of living a very unhealthy lifestyle there is so much that I am still learning about my eating habits that get me into trouble.  I am actually taking my cue from what your nurse told you and upping my protien to about 70 or 75 grams a day and if I find I am still struggeling will give Barb a call or talk to her after group next Wednesday (she runs the PNC support groups).  I actually don't have your number, but if you want to PM or IM it to me that would be great!  Lately I have not been feeling like I look all that well and I think it is me very afraid of what all these carbs may be doing to my body.

No judgment from me, either!  I also have to work on my accountability.  The carb monster has gotten me lately.  I'm also starting to track what I'm eating and wow, do those carbs add up in a hurry!  Even if it's something I think is healthy, there's more carbs than I would have thought!  I'm still trying to wean off of prednisone, but I can't blame it all on that.  I'm trying to get to the gym more often, too.  I've gone for two days in a row now and feel I'm getting to like it more and more.  I do feel better after having gone there.  I see a trainer a couple times a month and it helps that they push me to go further than I think I can.

Thank you Nancy!  It seems that carb monster is every where lately!  Congrats on getting to the gym.  I know that I am feeling better now that I am back to being able to run and I am also adding in some toning/sculpting acouple times a week as well.  I know that trainers are really helpful and I am lucky that I have a brother and sister who are both certified trainers so all I do is picture them when I am on a run and really want to stop and walk (like today and yesterday) running next to me and cheering me on.  I also call them and ask them lots of questions.  Which reminds me I need to get my sis to workout a new routine for me!  Keep up the great work and hopefully if we all work together maybe we can send that Carb monster packing for good!

I hear you, sister!!  the carb monster is always out there-some of us know it VERY well.  Like Barb says, you just keep getting back behind the boat and pulling yourself back up on those skis!!  You are rocking this tool-don't let a few days or week of backstepping make you feel like a failure-YOU ARE A WINNER!!
hugs-
lynn
