Changes in my life, for better or for worse

I am coming upon a new phase in my life it seems. I am not sure where it will lead, but I am the never-ending optimist, believing all change is for the better.

I have been working about 34 hours per week but my work refuses to give me full-time status. We just lost a web producer so there are only TWO of us doing it. We are being stretched VERY, VERY thin. Well, yesterday an auditor apparently realized I was working too often, so now instead of working 4 days a week, they cut me down to 3.. aka 24 hours. That is not nearly enough to survive on!!

So.. I am now searching for another job or a 2nd job. It frustrates me because I promised myself that this year HEALTH would be my #1 priority. Oh well, what happens.. happens.

On the plus side... I am moving to Maple Grove in 14 days... moving away from my ex will lift a huge burden off of me. I am excited to decorate and start a fresher life in the new place. They also have a gym and pool there so that's a great benefit. I promise to have an apartment warming party!

Anyway....it all seems to be new... I have this cycle once every so often...physically and spiritually... it's the year of the Rat (aka my year)... so it's supposed to be a very good year for me. I never doubt that God is up there rooting for me.

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.

Elena - Sorry to hear about your job.  Something better will absolutely come along for you though since you have such a positive attitude about it.  Your new place in MG sounds fantastic - the pool and gym on site will be terrific!

Elena, I empathize with you!  My humble perspective: over the years, had actually been laid off three times (different than your situation, I know) and remember the devestation--and each time things turned out better than before.  However, right now, you do have (part of) a job--I strongly believe that when a door closes, a window will open by the grace of God!  You are incredibly talented, intelligent, resourceful, and most of all gorgeous inside an out--something very wonderful will come out of this for you!  And welcome to the 'Emotional Freedom' club--my ex-jerk has been evicted from this building and will be out in two weeks.  Like I just posted to Lori B, one bad apple won't spoil the whole darned bunch!  Think 'oceans, fish.....' there are SO many, beautiful and kind, right in there with the down-right horrid--when the clouds pass, the sun WILL shine!  Oceans of love and hugs galore, Patti

Elena- Sorry about the job situation. It's never fun to have to look for something different, or additional. Sounds like a great fresh start moving to your new place and you seem really pumped about it. I'd love to have a pool & gym right no site. I keep telling DH once Lauren is bigger, we're getting one of those huge blue pools everyone seems to have these days. I don't care how hideous it makes the yard look.

Way to keep up the positive thoughts!

Darla- I debated posting that comment about those pools, but went with it. It's funny how pre-baby, lots of things look rediculous and crazy, but once baby arives you tend not to care. I still maintain we will not be getting a ginormous trampoline though. Pool maybe.
