Thanks so much for letting me get all that off my chest and no one freaked out on me  :)

I do know the answers
- I need to be strong and follow what's right and just be done.
- I need to quit being so afraid to be by myself.
- I need to see my own self worth
- I need to love myself  :)

and I need to see (I already do know and see) what absolutely WONDERFUL people we have here that I'm most blessed to call friends  :)  Thank you...  the support here is like no other.  amazing!!

YOU GO GIRL!!

Lori--you will be amazed at how strong you really are!  YOU DON'T HAVE TO SETTLE FOR SECOND-CLASS!!

As far as being afraid of being alone--sometimes we need to solitude and a-loneness to figger out who we really are and what we want.

And I ALWAYS remember what my husband used to say:  That which
doesn't kill you will only make you stronger!  ((and I'M STILL HERE!)

I didn't squeeze in a reply to your last thread, but Lori, I understand how much easier this all is to say than it is to do.  So my wish for you is strength and confidence enough to do what you know is right.  You deserve better than you are getting!

Lori~Being alone after being with someone for so long is can be really scarey I know that that was part of what kept me in the same house as my ex for so long because I shared a room with my sisters growing up then lived with roommates in college then with my ex so at 27 I had never lived a lone and it scared me to death.  I won't sugar coat it, the first couple of months were not easy or comofortable, but eventually I have found I prefer living alone!  I can come and go when I want eat when/where/what I want, go to bed when I want, and I know the mess in house belongs to me.  You are a beautiful, wonderful, talented woman and embracing it all can take some time, but I know you will be able to do this and break free from the past.  I hope you and Bri had a fun time today!  You are loved more than you could know!  Love & Hugs!  Nicole

Hi Lori, there's a clear self-sense of fortitude,  determination ,and positivity in your post!  Being alone physically sure beats being alone in a 'relationship.'  May your wings allow you to soar beyond all that's held you back;  if ever your wings are not able to fly, genuine friends are the angels  who help you soar!  So glad you're having a wonderful day with your daughter Be happy, be strong, and don't be a stranger here hon!  Oceans of love and hugs galore, Patti

Lori:

You have had the courage and fortitude to improve your physical health, so I am pretty sure you have what it takes to change other aspects of your life for the better.  Women generally know what needs to be done, but it takes time to mull over the consequences of taking action that will affect others.  It sounds to me like you are well past the mulling stage, so I want to wish you good luck in whatever you decide to do.
