OT: The Car story
Well, when my mom got here this morning we went out and tried to start it a couple of times it took about 10 tries and the last couple I held it trying to get it to start and eventually it did, so Mom stayed outside with it while was running I came in changed and locked up to go out and look at other cars. I had decided to see what I could find today. Long story short we ended up in Stillwater where I purchsed an '06 PT Cruiser. I was amazed to find out how much I could actually afford with the right financing. I am not sure if Mom was happy that I decided to buy it here in the cities, but for me it was a big weight off my chest and I figured since it will fit in my budget and newer means I won't have to worry for a while about a new car and major repairs I might as well do it. Plus, they gave me a great deal on my trade-in. So, I am now the proud owner of an ivory colored PT Cruiser and I love it!
You and Darla can be Cruiser buddies! lol CONGRATS!!!
I know I was thinking about that on the way home. Suprisingly the sales man said that he thought it would be a good combination of everything I was looking for, but wanted me to drive it because I guess for most people they either love them or hate them. We also drove a Chev Impala, but I loved the PT Cruiser and it was $1000 less so that was what I went with. It is exciting because this is the first car I got to pick out and buy all on my own. The car I did have was picked out for me by my ex's friend and I wasn't given any option. So, I am very happy to say the least. Oh, and on Saturday they are replacing the fan motor blower cause it makes a knocking sound and they will give me a loaner for the day while they replace absolutely free. It works out great since I have to go to River Falls for a family reunion/nephews b-day party anyways! Okay, I am done babbeling now!
It's so nice to get a new car :-) It's refreshing -- like moving into a new place or getting a new job or buying a new bed....heheh
Thank you Connie! Yeah it is hard suckin it up and realizing that I had to add another bill, but I know that it will help in the long run especially with school starting in 2 weeks and then I will be driving into St. Paul twice a week as well! I hope when your time comes that you are able to find something good too! Love & Hugs! Nicole
NICOLE BABY! MY CRUISER SISTAH!!! EBONY AND IVORY, THAT'S US!!!
I'm just unreasonably excited for you - I LOVE MY CRUISER!!! Mine's an '03, and it's been a dream - no problems at all, as long as I keep up on standard maintenance
(mental note to self... check mileage for next oil change...)
