I see you have got a lot of great advice up there! I also brought my camera and took pics of all the people who visited me in the hospital. I still look back on those pics because that was a very important moment in my life. Good luck on your surgery day!!!

I'm glad I brought a camisole (the kind with the built in support) for the ride home instead of a bra.  My bra would have rubbed on the highest incisions.
Good Luck Natalie!!

Hi--the camisole is a good idea--I don't have one with a built in bra, but I do have a nice stretchy tank top that is snug on top for support, but it's more loose near the bottom. I will bring that and see if that works.

I bought some new lotion and shower gel that I have been wanting to buy for a while. That will be nice to have something new and nice smelling for the hospital.
My mom just stopped over and is bringing me all of her new Martha Stewart and her decorating magazines. I love looking at those.

Still havent taken any before pictures...UGH I should do that today!  I have zero pics of me at this size.

I am feeling pretty well after drinking me bowel prep.  Right away it was kind of bad, but this afternoon, I am well enough to run a few errands, if I need to. So, I am really hoping I can go to work tomorrow. Save my vacation day for some other time!

One other question I have...my husband and my 10 and 7 year old will be bringing me ( I have wondered if that is a good idea--will they be too worried? etc)  but anyway--I have to be there at 8 am , my surgery is scheduled for 10:00. Then after that--off to recovery. I am wondering what time it will be before they can see me.  It's like I want them there---and I don't. That is a  long time to wait ( and worry )
I know everyone is different, but from the time you went in to when  you could see family--about how long was it?
