someone must have an idea....

Hi...I don't live in the Mpls area, but am having my surgery there Tuesday ( at the U of M )  Does anyone know that area very well ( the HURON exit off 94) as to give me a couple ideas of something my husband could do with my kids while they are waiting on Tuesday? Is there a Target nearby? I really don't want to have him go too far--he HATES driving in Mpls. But if it's close by, he'd be fine.  I am trying to do some searching online for ideas..but not coming up with too much.  I am not looking for anything specific..really, if it was even bumming around Target or something like that for an hour or so would be great!

Well, he'll be on the U campus, so if he can find a good parking spot, they could walk around the campus and go eat somewhere. Down University Avenue toward 280, there is a McDs and some other shops. I am not sure if there is a Target there. I know there is a Target off of Riverside and 94 (The exit right before Huron)...

Thanks!  He is actually familiar with the Riverside exit.   I am sure he will be more opt to wanting to go to Target,  if I am not with  to keep throwing things in the cart

I don't think that's too far from the Como Zoo. There is also an amusement area attached w/rides and games (if you want to spend the $$), if not Como is free (lots of picnic areas as well) and has a beautiful conservatory they can walk around.

I know that there IS a Target near there, but couldn't tell you the street or which exit it's by.
