OT: Family Dynamics
I was a daddy's girl too. I lost him many, many years ago to cancer and heart issues. He was grand and loved by many, Everytime I hear "You Are My Sunshine" I think of him. He always sang that to me....right up to the end!! My mother and I were really, really close too. They are both missed so much!!
I am so happy for you!!!!
Hugs, connie d
I was reading your post smiling to myself relating to everything you wrote. I am a Daddy's girl too. My dad was my best friend in the whole world until I married my husband John almost 2 years ago. Now I have two best friends. I spent 24 years looking for a man that could measure up to my expectations......a gentle, kind soul like my dad. I married a hard working, loving and gentle man just like my dad. My mother is also jealous of our relationship but has learned to accept it after almost 60 years! I hear horror stories of father/daughter relationships and thank God everyday for the father I got. He's the best!!!!! I can always bring a smile to his face as he can to mine. Relationships like that are wonderful.
I'm so glad your found that with your Dad. Nicole, you are doing so well and he must be so proud of you cause we sure are! I can't wait to see you again.
