HEY HON!!!! I am not getting my hopes up with insurance due to THIS pain now (veins not included) WOULD have not been an issue IF they wouldn't have denied my case and we thought I had enough documentation and proof then......insurance oh, well, onwards to get what I need to get things taken care of!

Hi Sandie,

One note about varicose vein stripping....I had it done in 2004 and it was covered by my insurance. As long as your main leg vein valves aren't working correctly, that is what causes varicose veins...the blood backs up...it isn't considered cosmetic. I had a test to check for the valve malfunction and that sealed the deal for insurance covering it. Mine were horrific and they only got worse as I lost weight, so it was cosmetic for me and medically necessary for the insurance!

Thanks HON! Isn't it weird how losing weight makes them hurt

...I believe I will be able to get them stripped but only waiting until I GET that approval letting to jump for joy!
