OT - Thanks Dad & more
Thanks for calling to let me know the new Sonic is open in Savage/Burnsville and it's so stinkin busy the po-po is helping with traffic control. (Must be grand opening today) Some of their drinks look SO good, but they're massive sugar though. Maybe I'll have to sneak a peek at their website nutrition info just for S&G.
Just finished month 4 of 6 of the medically supervised weightloss attempt, I'm exactly .3 ( YES, POINT 3) pounds down from where I started. I don't know why this "supervised" attempt is even harder for me than dieting on my own. It stinks. I know I'm more stressed than ever between work & baby, still. It's embarrassing going to the clinic month after month and gaining or barely losing. Ugh!
On the positive, thanks to a post from Nicolelynn about her considering going to the Emily Center, I made an appointment a****er's Edge (they specialize in eating disorders) and met with a therapist there yesterday to help me with my emotional eating. I know that's my problem, and need to get it under control ASAP so after surgery I'll be successful. I really liked the lady I met with and will see her weekly for a while. I'm hoping talking with her will help so that I don't eat when not hungry and the weight will start to come off. Gotta lose 10LBS before surgery. I know I can do that, especially if I'm ONLY eating when hungry.

Kristy~I am sad to hear that your dad decided that he needed to share about the new Sonic, but I would have to agree with mustangirl that it isn't all that special, we stopped at one on vacation this summer and I wasn't impressed at all. I am also very proud of you for getting the help you need to be successful in this journey to a healthier you! Please be patient with yourself and realize that while it is important to start making changes it is best to do so slowly. Just don't even think about that other fast food place and try to not drive near there if you don't have to. Love & Hugs! Nicole
I've been past the Sonic in Elk River - and I'm pretty sure it's got to be all hype & hooey. I believe they INTENTIONALLY started showing their commercials on Twin Cities cable channels over a year ago, knowing they'd be opening a few stores here & wanting to get people all worked up over it.

Your weight loss is WAY more important than some cheesy drive-in joint. You WILL succeed with it, because your mind is heading in the RIGHT direction!
