Freak Accident

Good Morning All,

Ok, so I have been MIA again, but not by choice.  Three weeks ago, my future daughter in-law went for a little motorcycle ride.  We got home and I parked my bike in the driveway.  As she is a very new rider, she was having trouble getting my son's bike up the lip to the driveway.  I told her to give it a little gas so it wouldn't die on her.  She gave it gas, the trottle stuck and in seconds the motorcycle had me pinned against my hubbys truck.  Ok, so my right (driving) leg got pretty messed up.  Broke my knee nuckle on either side, broke a chunck off the large shin bone, tore off a large pice of my cartalidge, and brused my entire shin bone and ankle.  Surgery to repair and put a plate in my leg.  So here I sit in my bed, finally off pain meds so I can think.  So, I go to Dr. on Tuesday and hopefully I can go back to work part-time in a wheel chair, as I can not put any weight on that leg for another 4 weeks.

So, I will try and get on here more now that I can do nothing but sit here in bed with my leg up...LOL

Hope everyone has Great plans for Labor day weekend.

Hugs,
Ginger

I feel your pain just reading this.  Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.

Take care.

J

PS  Is she still your future DIL?  She will spend years trying to make this up to you.  Poor girl.

Poor thing, this has been harder on her than me.  Some days she can't even look at me without bursting into tears.  I love her to death, and as her mom died when she was three, we are as close as mother and daughter.  She was bruised up pretty bad as well.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Your 'future' daughter-in-law?    An 'accident'?  HMMmmmm.....

Seriously--WOW--sounds very painful.  I hope you heal quickly and are able to hop back on the bike soon!

(I bet your future DIL was devastated!)

Again... Big Hugs to you!!!  Just wanted you to know that I just read about your accident in the paper!!  Imagine my surprise when reading the washington co Pioneer Press - local section page 3 in the On The Record section..

I had read it and thought "oh how terrible" and kept reading down...  After a few minutes I waws like..."dejavuuuuuu..."  This story sounds familiar... I re-read it and realized it was about you!!
