Hello

I just wanted to really introduce myself and say hello!  I'm currently 270 pounds, and hoping to have surgery. I had the introduction meeting last week with Park Nicolett in St. Louis Park, and I sent in all  my paperwork so who knows how long it will take.

I'm 31 years old and a mother of two small girls who are 3 and 1. They keep me very busy, let me tell you!

Anyways I look forward to spending more time here and really embracing this positive change I really want to make in my life for myself and my family.

I also went through PNC, they are fantastic.  There is a support group on Wednesdays in SLP 6-7:30 pm if you're interested.
Good luck on your journey, this is a wonderful place to find support and great new friends.

Hey!  Welcome to your new happy place!  (I always like to say that...  )  I went through PNC - although it depends on your insurance and their patient load, it took me 3 months and 10 days from the time I sent my papers in until the date of my surgery - not bad at all!  Just remember that it'll happen when it's supposed to happen..

Keep coming here, come to a coffee group like Kelly said (what part of MN do you live in?), and there are always pre-ops at our support group meetings as well!  I'm sure you got a schedule of them at your info session - be sure to come!  You'll meet a mess of us there!

Welcome!  This is a great place for knowledge, support, motivation and friendship!  I too went through PNC for my surgery and LOVE them!  As Sandy mentioned PNC has support groups every Wednsday night I hope you can join us sometime they are really a lot of fun!  Congrats on taking the steps to be a healthy Mom!  I look forward to seeing you here and possibly at support group!  ~Nicole

Welcome to the MN board! Of course this is the best one, but there are other forums that are also helpful. Do lots of reading and learning!!  I know there are a group of MN boarders that have coffee together every other Saturday morning in Burnsville. You are welcome to any of them that are going on! My first time going  to the Maple Grove coffee was very welcoming!!
