Happy Friday!

The camping trip sounds like a real blast - I hope that you ladies have a great time.  Darla, I'm with you, I LOVE pickles!

Me, I have a busy weekend planned too.  Tonight I'm going to have my husband take me 3 month post op pics.  After that is done, I'm going to bake the night away - 2 Mountain Dew cakes, 1 homemade carrot cake, 1 fudge bundt cake with peanut butter chips, and mock turtles (pretzels with rolos and pecans).  Of course, not a bite of any of this will pass my lips, but I miss baking and this is for a good cause.

Tomorrow, my agency is having our annual picnic for clients and former clients.  We're selling raffle tickets, having a silent auction, and a cakewalk at the picnic (thus all of my baking).  It's usually a good time and it's always great to see people and see how their lives are going now that they're sober.  I'm so proud that I got to be a small part of their stories and now that I've had this surgery I feel like I understand their struggles a little bit better.

Saturday night and Sunday I need to be focusing on 1) finishing my homework for next week and 2) looking at the school's webpage for jobs that I want to apply for next week and writing cover letters for them.  Oh yeah, that reminds me that I have one more minor revision to do on my resume too.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Sweetie!
Happy Friday to YOU!  This weekend we're supposed to get rain---ALL weekend.  Makes me glad that I can't go camping with you guys...

Today I filled out MORE job applications. Sheesh--every cover letter needed tweaking, so I couldn't just 'copy and paste' the ones I already have.

I start work at 6AM tomorrow, until 11AM. Something about advertisement prep. I'm amazed how stinkin' tirin' this job is.  It is steady moving and there are 28 steps to get to offices and the coffee room.  On Sunday I have a special meeting with folks who have an intellectually disabled young man who just 'graduated' high school. Means that at 21 he can no longer attend, but there is a LONG waiting list for admittance to programs he could go to.  The dad might have to quit his job to take care of this son. But welfare won't give him a living wage either. Catch 22, anyone?

Ya'll have a wonderful weekend!

((HUGS))
