In about a week we're all going to be inundated with pink ribbons and ads telling you to know your breasts and body.  Please gals, do yourselves a favor-it takes literally 5 minutes a month to check your breasts for lumps.
Do it every month so you'll be so in-tuned with your body that you'll know if there is something different.
Do it properly-any questions for instruction go to any breast health site on line.
Do it with a buddy to remind each other!
Do it for your loved ones if not for yourself.....I have been told many times that I saved my own life by finding my lump two years ago and again 3 months ago when I had a recurrence.

The ribbons are a symbol of life......lets do what we can to make sure ours are long and healthy.

Breathless and Breastless for life....

Ronda- Thanks for the reminder. Self exams are so important and don't take long to do. i found something about the size of an egg about 2 years ago, freaked me out. Turned out to be dense breast tissue in a sea of flabby/saggy breast tissue. I see you're a survivor.... Glad you're here.

Hey Ronda-K-

Thanks for a timely reminder. As someone who has lost my mother and two of her sisters to breast cancer, I SHOULD be more vigilant about self-exams. I guess I needed this kick in the pants.

Congrats on being such a tough cookie!

Great reminder - also very important are MAMMOGRAMS!!!  Mammograms find those lumps before you can feel them.  A good friend of mine was just diagnosed with breast cancer only through a routine mammogram.  She couldn't feel the lump, nor could the doctor.

A mammogram possibly saved her life.
